bagheels http://bagheels.bloglove.cc/ bloglove.cc regular Victoria Beckham in Lanvin Oulala Satin Clutch Mid-trying to shed some lbs I can totally sympathize with Victoria Beckham. Of course she never replica designer handbags smiles – I wouldn’t be happy either if I

had to be disciplined enough to watch my diet 365 days a year in order to always be at my bottom weight! Though with a closet as amazing as I’m sure VB’s is and a hubbie louis vuitton speedy 30 with a body like David Beckham, I can see where her motivation comes from! Above the svelte mama complements her Giles dress with the

Lanvin Oulala satin clutch ($1,090). The crystal-topped pompom adds feminine frou-frou, while avoiding making the bag look like it belongs at a High School prom and the contrast between the black Monogram Canvas satin and navy helps the clutch stand-out even when worn against a black outfit. It gets a Snob vote from me!

regular Furla Tate Shopper Bag A few months ago, when Furla hosted an evening of cocktails in Manhattan to preview four key fall handbag styles designed by newly-installed creative director Fabio Sasso, I was coach crossbody bag drawn to this bag. Known as the Tate shopper, it’s fashioned in quilted vintage leather with genuine astrakhan and shiny leather trim. It’s been awhile now since I’ve been impressed with a Furla bag design, but this one had me giving it a second look. Design wise, I was very impressed  coach totes sale with how rich and luxe this bag looked in person. The leather is very supple, the bag is extremely roomy and the top unzips all the way to reveal an additional large pocket that goes all the way down the backside. It’s capacious without being too overtly utilitarian–and this bag has appeal for women of all ages. It’s both Greenwich and West Village at the same time! The top handle has a luggage-inspired look and in very soft to the touch. And can we talk about the price? When coach backpack was the last time a quality handbag product that didn’t read “Made in China”–nevertheless one that marries leather with astrakhan and hardware–sell for under $1,000? I was very impressed by this bag–and hopefully, after checking it out for yourself, you will be too! http://bagheels.bloglove.cc/9274 http://bagheels.bloglove.cc/9274 2011-08-08 05:36:19 regular Miu Miu Bow Front Mary Janes You know that little Mary Jane obsession I have? Thanks to Miu Miu, it just got a little worse. Okay, it just got a lot worse. But can you blame me? I mean, look at these shoes! These Louboutin Sandals are Miu Miu’s Bow Front Mary Janes ($595 at Barneys), and I think they might also be an aphrodisiac. Certainly they have to be secretly evil and diabolical, because they are calling me through the internet and trying to tempt me into spending money on them right this second.

In the first place, pink and black has recently become my very favorite color combination. I go mad for it. My bedroom is pink and black, my purse is pink and black, I dress in pink and black – you get the picture. And I love pink and black shoes, but only if the pink is a darker shade – like this. In the second place, we all know I love Mary Janes. In the third place, this is a match made in my own personal heaven.

Perhaps because of the double bow detailing, I find that these strappy shoes evoke a retro kind of feel. I can picture them with a long, full skirt. Like, they would look right at home in the dance contest sequence of Grease. I don’t think Sandy could pull Louboutin Boots them off appropriately though. These shoes have Rizzo’s name written all over them.

The Bow Front Mary Janes are made of a precious looking patent leather. Don’t worry about the open toes, lady, that is why the fashion gods created pantyhose. The heel is 115 millimeters, or 4 Manolo Blahnik Sale and ½ inches, the sole is leather, the bows are pink, the shoe is perfect.

This is like a new direction for Miu Miu, at least I think so. How are you feeling about this shoe? Do you get that retro vibe?

regular Prada’s Pretty Patent Scrunch Sneakers Sizzle There are several reasons Prada is such a classic staple in the fashion world. Prada is sort of like Zeus in the hierarchy of gods, or at least the brand ranks up there as royalty. Because Christian Louboutin Shoes of its firm reputation, it can take a lot of risks and veer off the beaten path of what you expect from the brand. If you ask me, Prada’s Patent Scrunch Sneakers ($117.99-$295.00 at Saks) are definitely different from the normal style of should you might expect.

Now, the name itself suggests that this shoe is different. Scrunch sneakers? Huh? Patent leather sneakers? Come again, please? Naturally, the Prada logo is prominent. The sneakers lace up the front and they have a rubber sole for good traction. That’s all well and good, but it doesn’t really describe anything about the shoes themselves.

I actually passed over these the first time I glimpsed them. Do you know why? Because I just assumed they were ballet flats. They look like that, don’t they? The rounded, uplifted toe, the way the heel lifts off the ground in the picture. They have a Christian Louboutin Outlet silhouette just like ballet flats – yet no, they are sneakers.

Maybe it’s the quality and design of the patent leather that gives these sneakers their curve. Maybe it’s the “scrunch” in “Patent Scrunch Sneakers.” I’m not exactly sure – just like I’m not exactly sure whether or not I like these shoes. I mean, I am a huge fan of sneakers. Sometimes, I just don’t want to deal with high heels or boots, you know?

But I have to wonder how much stability these particular sneakers provide. I also wonder how they’d really look, because I’m just not sure if patent leather translates well to a sneaker style. What do you think? Does anyone else think this might possibly end up being a Louboutin Pumps fashion faux pas, or am I just crazy?

Heck, I might just find out for myself. Right now, these are on sale at Saks for a really stellar deal.

regular Brian Atwood Snake-Printed Leather Pumps I only became familiar with Brian Atwood’s shoes fairly recently, and I am already an enormous fan. I decided to spotlight his Snake-Printed Leather Pumps ($700 at Saks) for one specific Christian Louboutin Wedges reason: color.

Let me explain that reason a little more. I love black shoes. Black clothing makes up most of my wardrobe and black shoes compose most of my collection. Black has a lot of great qualities – and then comes winter. So many designers go dark and neutral for their fall and winter collections, and although they get very inventive with styles, designs, and silhouettes, the palette is still just … blah. Come January and February, I am sick of black and grey. I don’t want beige or nude or Tory Burch Shoes neutral. I’m tired of cloudy skies and dirty snow. I want some color. It doesn’t necessarily have to be hot pink, lime green, or neon orange, but something would be nice.

I think Brian Atwood understands that perfectly. These snakeskin looking pumps have just the right amount of color. Sometimes mixing blue and black together can be a disaster, but it works here, perhaps because of the additional splotches of white. These pumps actually look like they be from some exotic, colorful snake.

They have a martini heel, which I love! It is self-covered and goes about 5 and ¾ inches, or 145 millimeters, high. The platform is covered as well, and measures at about an inch, or 25 millimeters.  Its curves and contours are sensuous – and rather serpentine, as a matter of fact.

Generally I’m not a huge Jimmy Choo Shoes Sale fan of snakeskin myself, but I adore these. What do you think about animal-inspired shoes – leopard print, snakeskin, et cetera? Do you like the trend?

regular Shoe Deja Vu: Brian Atwood vs. Dolce Vita One of our readers is Jimmy Choo Shoes Sale absolutely in love with Brian Atwood’s hidden platform pump (left) but not with the $580 price tag at Saks Fifth Avenue so she asked us to find a look-alike.   We thought that Dolce Vita Women’s Madison Christian Louboutin Sandals Platform Pump (right) was a pretty good match.  Like the Atwoods, the Madison pump is also 4 3/4 inches with a hidden platform and dare I say,the nude color actually looks better to me.   Amazon is having a cyber sale right now so the Christian Louboutin Short Boots Dolce Vita pumps are on sale for 70% off, at $47.98. http://bagheels.bloglove.cc/9269 http://bagheels.bloglove.cc/9269 2011-08-08 05:35:57
